Starting Pay Rate: Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale

Schedule Information: Days/Evenings depending upon course schedule.

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application can remain "Under Review by Committee" for 18 months. You may check your status at any time by logging into jobs.harpercollege.edu with your username and password.

Job Description: Instruction of students in the undergraduate nutrition transfer program.

Teaches courses in accordance with their description.

Adheres to course objectives and outcomes. Utilizes the full classroom time assigned, meeting all classes as scheduled.

The nutrition faculty must direct student learning and assess student progress in achieving the requirements of the program.

If the course is an online course, the adjunct faculty will be required to take a course at Harper for online teaching prior to teaching the course.

Responsible for timely submission of attendance, grading records, and filing course syllabi with the Division.

Education Requirements: Master’s degree in nutrition or related field preferred. Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of experience working in the nutrition field required. Teaching experience preferred.
