PRESIDENTIAL PROFILE
Riverside City College, Riverside Community College District Riverside, CA

The Chancellor of the Riverside Community College District (RCCD) welcomes nominations and applications for the position of President at Riverside City College (RCC), presenting an opportunity for a skilled individual to guide and support a flourishing community college.

About the College
Riverside City College is the largest community college in the Riverside Community College District and the Inland Southern California region. RCC provides a premier education to a diverse community of students, offering a wide range of dynamic and high-quality academic and technical career programs supported by comprehensive student services. Students pursue studies across a broad range of degree and certificate programs, including career and technical education certificates, to prepare for the workforce. RCC takes pride in its status as a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). With a makeup of 66% Hispanic, 15% Caucasian, 7% African American, 7% Asian/Pacific Islander, and 4% from mixed ethnicities, the campus is a thriving college environment.

Through its educational, economic, and workforce initiatives, community partnerships, and services, RCC plays a vital role in shaping the lives of its students and the regional economy. With an operating budget of almost $90 million, RCC employs over 1,000 dedicated and diverse full- and part-time faculty, administrators, and classified professionals. The college has garnered unwavering support from the community, as demonstrated by the presence of its cosmetology salon, cybersecurity center, theatre, dance, planetarium, Inland Technical Training Center, and world-class musical performances and athletic competitions.

About the District
The Riverside Community College District is dedicated to serving and enriching the diverse communities it serves through three colleges - Moreno Valley College, Norco College, and Riverside City College - with the support of the District Office. RCCD provides certificates, degrees, and transfer programs to assist students in achieving their educational and career objectives, focusing on ensuring access, success, and equity for all students. The district endeavors to promote its students' social and economic mobility by providing high-quality educational opportunities available to everyone.

About the Region
Riverside boasts an impressive history, with 24 nationally registered historic sites and over 100 city landmarks commemorating the city's rich cultural heritage. Known as the "City of Arts and Innovation," visitors and residents alike can enjoy various cultural activities, including downtown museums, restaurants, and performing arts centers. The city's growth over time is exemplified by the Glenwood Cottages guest house, which eventually expanded to become the world-renowned Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, the largest Mission Revival-style building in the United States. The inn has hosted several famous guests, including Presidents Nixon and Reagan, film stars, and even royalty. In addition to its storied past, Riverside is home to four colleges and universities: RCC, the first college established in the area, followed by the University of California, Riverside, Cal Baptist University, and La Sierra University. The historic Fox Performing Arts Center, a 1929 Spanish Colonial Revival theater in downtown Riverside, is also worth mentioning as it held the first public screening of the classic film, "Gone with the Wind."
