Carnegie Mellon University’s division of Student Affairs is searching for a Coordinator of Community Standards and Integrity/Housefellow. You will contribute to the department by managing key administrative and programmatic aspects of the university’s community standards and academic disciplinary actions processes, educate students on community expectations, and ensure that university responses to violations of CMU standards are developmental and representative of our values.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Managing follow-up for community standards complaints and
academic integrity violations reported to the Office of Community
Standards and Integrity;
- Coordinating workflow for academic and non-academic violations
including documentation, tracking, and reporting;
- Facilitate the resolution processes for violations of the
Sexual Misconduct Policy (Interim);
- Leading process logistics related to the Academic Review Board
and University Disciplinary Committee, including selection and
training of board members;
- Consulting with faculty, students and colleagues within
university governing bodies, to include General Counsel, University
Police, and the Office for Institutional Equity and Title IX;
- Facilitate educational programs for the campus community;
- Participating in the Resolution Review Board; and
- Overseeing and reviewing applicable policies and
procedures.

- Serve as primary university contact and advocate for students
living within a designated residential house community and
supervise the residential staff;
- Owning the creation of a thriving residential experience
through ensuring the execution of the engage framework. Serving as
a conduit for connecting students to the broader metacurricular
experience of Carnegie Mellon University;
- Coordinate emergency response and on-going case management for
designated residential population. Liaise and collaborate with
campus partners including but not limited to Housing Services,
Division of Student Affairs, College Liaisons, University Health
Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and academic
partners to provide community and student support.
You should have strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach, and excellent relationship building abilities. Flexibility, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Student Affairs. Qualifications
- Master’s degree required
- Minimum one year experience in student conduct or residence
life required
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which
comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
