Reporting directly to the Director / Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Program, the Assistant Coach / Swimming will provide expert level coaching and teaching to student athletes. Also assist in the day to day administration of the swim program, including working with vendors regarding equipment/uniform orders. Assist in training student athletes, including working with head coach on symmetry of training among our department units; assist in the recruitment of well prepared student athletes; coordinate team travel, keeping budget considerations in mind; ability to learn and use database to organize recruiting, alumni and team information; tape editing, awards banquets and other team functions; assist in other dimensions of the program as needed. Will demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree and/or bachelor's degree with related experience.
Experience being a student athlete, collegiate coach, or professional athlete in the sport of swimming.
Working knowledge of individual and team swim skills required.
Commitment to diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience at the Division I level as a student athlete and/or coach preferred.
Recruiting experience at the Division I or professional level preferred.
Ability to communicate with and instruct student athletes.
Strong desire and ability to promote swimming to the general public preferred.
Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred.
