The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition in the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for an open rank, 9-month, tenure system position in biomechanics. Start-up support and teaching load will be competitive. Rank/tenure will be commensurate with qualifications.

The successful candidate will have an established track record or will have demonstrated the potential for interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to the biomechanical study of human movement, including but not limited to enhancing mobility and/or function across the lifespan in people with or without musculoskeletal or neurological impairments. Duties will include successfully competing for external funding, mentoring and teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and contributing to the department’s curriculum. Intradepartmental collaborations with nutrition, and interdepartmental collaborations with bioengineering or medicine, are encouraged.
