Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, this position serves as the primary recruitment and communication planner for new student enrollment at the undergraduate level. Additional information about the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is located at https://www.admissions.uga.edu/.

Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for developing recruitment strategies to achieve diverse undergraduate enrollment at the University of Georgia for first-year, transfer, international and targeted audiences.
  • Leads the development of annual communication plans and related strategies for accomplishing institutional enrollment goals.
  • Guides all aspects of enrollment communication strategy including but not limited to: print publications, web development, e-mail communications, video development, advertising, public relations, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Serves as primary contact for UGA Admissions in developing relationships with vendors, lead generation providers, and marketing support services. Manages business relationships and contracts with vendors.
  • Manages multiple communication plans and related strategies for new student enrollment and targeted audiences and ensures project goals and deadlines are achieved.
  • Manages relationships with campus partners in developing university-wide recruitment initiatives.
  • Coordinates the use of demographic and market research related to new student enrollment.
  • Represents Office of Undergraduate Admissions within both the campus and external audiences.
  • Supervises several members of the Leadership and communication team

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher.

Additional Requirements

A minimum of 8-10 years of significant, progressive experience in admissions or higher education to include a record of increasingly responsible supervisory/management experience.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
  • Significant admissions background to include a record of increasingly responsible supervisory/management history preferred.
  • Evidence of providing strategic oversight of CRM and reporting system.
  • Record of working in a higher education environment developing comprehensive communication/marketing plans and guiding a team through program implementation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • The ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form is desired.
  • Skills in social media networking are desired.
