- Provides direct client care including initial consultation and assessment, individual and group counseling, referral services, and crisis intervention support
- Provides outreach programming to the university community focused on topics related to mental health and self-care
- Provides consultation services regarding mental health issues and students of concern to faculty/staff, students, and family/friends
- Provides supervision and training for doctoral interns, practicum student trainees, and graduate assistants
- Maintains accurate records in a timely and ethical manner
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications (SPS)
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field;
- Must be licensed in the state of Illinois in professional discipline within 18 months of hire;
- Clinical experience providing individual and group counseling;
- Previous experience providing services to diverse clients and a demonstrated commitment to multicultural counseling competencies.
- Strong skills to provide outreach and psychoeducational programming on mental health topics;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current licensure in the state of Illinois in professional field (e.g., LCPC or LCSW );
- Prior experience in a university counseling center;
- Experience providing supervision to graduate-level trainees in counseling, social work, or related field.
