Position Summary
Provide comprehensive leadership for the collection, analysis, and application of enrollment digital technologies (Salesforce), directing data analysis, driving project completion, and working closely cross-sectionally for the implementation of the comprehensive strategic enrollment plan and initiatives for effectiveness, ensuring state, federal compliance requirements are met. Develop and provide relevant and actionable outcomes to help drive continuous improvement and innovative advancements for, and in collaboration with key stakeholders for implementation, alignment, and coordination of strategies and initiatives to achieve the college’s mission and goals. Working in collaboration with Dallas College stakeholders, provides leadership, administrative direction, and oversight of initiatives in areas including, but not limited to digital technologies, operational efficiency, program quality, resource allocation, data analysis, coordinated dissemination, reporting, and process improvement. Provide supervision support for enrollment marketing and branding, digital strategies and technology, campus events, and outreach services for student success.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the purpose of community colleges and the vision
of Dallas College
- Strong knowledge and understanding of enrollment and student
success strategies, student development, institutional alignment,
data analysis, communication/marketing strategies and management
skills.
- Ability to interpret, understand and apply comprehensive
knowledge of innovative technology platforms related to and in
support of the holistic student experience.
- Experience leading or managing major change initiatives
including knowledge and skill in process improvement, project
planning, conflict resolution, team building, customer service, and
data-based decision-making concepts
- Ability to identify and address opportunities and challenges
that arise because of Dallas College’s recent transition to One
College.
- General knowledge and experience in working with student
success programs
- Experience with current and emerging technology related to
recruitment and retention, including expertise with enrollment
management systems and web-based recruitment efforts.
- Experience with enrollment management marketing and branding
efforts related to recruitment, retention, transfer, workforce and
completion.
- An understanding of contemporary issues in higher education is
required through professional development activities
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion
and a demonstrated commitment to the promotion of diversity
- Ability to identify, address, and collaborate with other
leaders on solutions to barriers preventing a significant portion
of our population from having a job that pays a living wage
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate
effectively, verbally and in writing, complex ideas, and
information to a variety of stakeholders/constituents within the
Dallas College community network related to career and academic
requirements.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
- • Master’s degree or higher as confirmed by official
transcripts
- • Five (5) years of experience in a higher education setting
with demonstrated experience in enrollment management, student
services or student success. with a particular emphasis on leading,
planning and monitoring student recruitment and retention
activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide creative and energetic leadership in the development,
execution, and ongoing improvement of strategic enrollment
management programs that embody the values and goals of Dallas
College.
- Manages the life cycle of strategic enrollment management
initiatives to completion, including acquiring resources and
coordinating efforts of college wide teams, district personnel, and
third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects
according to plan.
- Provide leadership of retention efforts in collaboration with
the entire College community.
- Collaborate with college partners to implement proactive
intervention strategies to advance student success metrics (i.e.,
graduation rates, student satisfaction, student retention goals,
and credit generation) using data to identify target
populations
- Ability to maintain effective communication between students
and faculty within the College and external community
stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of the educational, cultural, and
social needs of a diverse student population. Knowledge of and
familiarity with the sociological issues facing urban,
underrepresented, first-generation, and income-needs persons in
college and in the community.
- Ability to use predictive retention modeling and early warning
alerts to proactively address outstanding issues for identified
students from entry through completion and to connect those
students with resources to enable them to persist and
graduate
- Experience in operational planning, policy development, and
outcome/needs assessment for student recruitment and
retention
- Keep abreast of best practices to improve retention,
persistence and completion and encourage such practices by key
stakeholders. As needed, propose institutional policies congruent
with national best practices to improve retention, persistence, and
completion
- Deploy data-informed and results oriented recruitment and
retention programs
- Ability to utilize technology to access data, maintain records,
and generate reports and communicate with others. Develop a
proactive and robust approach to data management to ensure the
enrollment and student success reporting structure are accurate,
easily accessible, and directly relevant to the work of enrollment
and student success.
- Develop and maintain a system to track, analyze and report on
the underlying reasons for student withdrawals, including
implementing a comprehensive exit evaluation process
- Experience interpreting, articulating, and implementing a
variety of regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure
compliance with Dallas College, state, and federal
requirements
- Assumes overall responsibility for directing the activities of
the personnel engaged in performing the functions of the assigned
areas. Assesses needs; supervises and coordinates development,
implementation and evaluation of programs and associated
staff.
- Ability to be adaptable to various competing demands and
demonstrate the highest level of service and response.
- Develops budgets; monitors and approves department
expenditures
- Prepares reports, proposals, and recommendations for overall
programs; keeps detailed records of assigned activities
- Completes required Dallas College Professional Development
training hours per academic year.
- Performs other duties as assigned
