  • Randolph-Macon College invites applications for an Administrative Assistant. This individual will be responsible for administrative support to the Office of the Provost, including the Provost, Associate Provost and Dean of Academic Affairs, and the Special Assistant to the Provost.

    Responsibilities include composing written correspondence; requesting, collecting and filing confidential information; scheduling and coordinating campus events; maintaining both the paper and electronic file systems; compiling information for faculty standing committees; managing electronic data collection and document submission processes, following through with disseminating correspondence and reports; proof-reading; greeting visitors and answering phones.

    Qualifications: Candidates must be proficient in a variety of integrated apps and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, pay strict attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students, parents and visitors to the College. Must handle confidential information with discretion, possess the ability to manage projects independently, and anticipate and proactively problem solve. A high school diploma plus a minimum of three to five years related work experience required. A college degree is preferred, as is expertise with/aptitude for database management and educational software. Experience in college administration helpful.
