The Division of Hematology/Oncology (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/medicine/) in the Department of Medicine and the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center at the University of California San Diego are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The Division is seeking a hematologist to further build and expand the multidisciplinary programs of the Department of Medicine and the Hemophilia Treatment Center.

The Division is seeking candidates with an interest in clinical, basic science, or translational research and/or medical education involving hemostasis/thrombosis and who are committed to excellence in patient care.

The successful candidate will continue to help expand the robust clinical, research and educational activities including teaching of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. In-Residence appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications (Required at Time of Application)

Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree and be board certified/eligible in Hematology. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
