For over 40 years the Institute for Policy Research and Engagement
(IPRE; formerly the Community Service Center) at the University of
Oregon has been linking the skills, expertise and innovation of
higher education with the needs of communities and organizations
throughout Oregon. The IPRE is an interdisciplinary applied
research and service-learning center at the University of Oregon
that provides planning and technical assistance to Oregon
communities. The Community Planning Workshop (CPW) is an
experiential learning program of the IPRE working toward the
mission of providing planning and policy analysis service to
organizations throughout Oregon and educating students at the
University of Oregon.
The University of Oregon's Institute for Policy Research and
Engagement seeks to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill
periodic vacancies for pro tem research/project management
positions. All positions would be funding contingent, part-time,
temporary assignments with an appointment of up to one year, but
with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of three years
depending on need, funding and/or performance. Appointments would
be as research assistants, conducting research or project
management under the direction of a principal investigator.

- Master's in Planning, Public Administration, Environmental
Studies, or a related field. In exceptional circumstances, a
Bachelor's degree and significant professional experience in a
relevant field may substitute.
