The U.S. Army War College (USAWC) seeks qualified post-terminal degree researchers for a substantive project to examine environmental impacts on infrastructure resilience.
This is a full-time civilian faculty position at the Center for Strategic Leadership (CSL) at U.S. Army War College (USAWC). The appointment will be for one year. The appointment may be renewed for one additional year based on organizational needs and the availability of funding. Academic rank is at the Instructor level and salary is $56,709 per year.
Specific responsibilities and opportunities:
• Conduct research, as part of a multi-discipline team, on the effects of environmental factors on infrastructure resilience.
• Assist in producing analytic methods and evaluation of infrastructure vulnerabilities to environmental factors
• Assist developing recommendations to senior decision makers on the results of the research
• Engage in the dissemination of the results of the research, for example prepare papers for publication, prepare and present findings in professional fora, as required.
• Mentor and assist, as appropriate and as directed, Army War College students, Fellows or interns.
