Position Summary: Primary teaching responsibilities will be in Non-Majors Biology Lecture and Lab. There may be other assignments as needed.

The candidate will also serve on college, division, program, and department committees and assist the Chair or Dean in the exercise of their duties. Attend and participate in professional development opportunities. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and stakeholders from across the College and the community. Provide support for both adjunct and full-time colleagues in the form of consultation and cooperation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Biology
  • Computer literacy including ability to communicate and develop teaching materials and enter grades electronically
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the use of appropriate computer software
  • Demonstrate fluency in written and oral communications
  • Two years of college-level teaching experience in biology or related discipline
  • Experience teaching both lecture and lab biology course

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Biology or closely related discipline
  • Two years of community college teaching experience
  • Experience of teaching non-majors biology
