JOB TITLE: Associate Provost for K-12 Programs & Partnerships
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Provost
DEPARTMENT(S): Dual Credit
DIVISION/AREA: Instructional Services
Primary Function/Description:
The Associate Provost for K-12 Programs and Partnerships will oversee all dual credit programming (Academic Early College, CTE Early College, and Project Excel) and will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategic plan to advance the quality and reach of VU’s dual credit offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the statewide lead for VU’s dual credit programming.
- Proactively lead strategies that further the development of VU’s K-12 initiatives and partnerships.
- Ensure that VU has the systems and processes necessary to maintain quality dual credit instruction.
- Develop and support educational partnerships among Vincennes University, K-12 education institutions, career centers, and employers.
- Assist with the development, implementation, marketing, and evaluation of dual credit programming and related employer partnerships.
- Provide leadership and direct supervision to the Dean of Academic Early College, Dean of CTE Early College and Director of Project Excel.
Required Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of strategic planning, budgeting, and financial administration. Knowledge of trends in dual credit programming. Knowledge of National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Programs (NACEP) accreditation. Strong supervisory skills. Strong skills in computer and database applications. Strong analytical skills.
Physical Demands:
Normal physical demands for successful work in a normal office environment.
Education, Experience and Licensure:
- Master’s degree in Education, Administration or related field required. At least 8 years of senior-level administrative experience in secondary or post-secondary education required. Demonstrated experience with K-12 partnerships, strategic planning and leadership. Results oriented with strong collaboration, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by VU’s dual credit students and employees.
- Earned Doctorate in Education, Administration or related field.
- 8-10 years of senior-level administrative experience in secondary or post-secondary education.
