Position Summary
The Department of Architecture at the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning invites candidates who can enthusiastically inspire and engage the next generation of practitioners. Candidates should have the ability to teach in-person, hybrid, or online courses in architecture and design-related topics or conduct research and service in support of the mission and vision of the school. Teaching positions are available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Essential Functions
• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of architecture
• Provides students with appropriate learning materials and expertise in subject area
• Evaluates students’ performance and provides effective feedback to guide student learning and success
• Responsible for contributing to and maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment
• Ability to conduct research or service in support of the mission and vision of the school

The University at Buffalo’s School of Architecture and Planning is the only school of architecture and planning within the 64-campus State University of New York ( SUNY ) system. The school offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design, Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Master of Urban Planning, Master of Architecture, Master of Science in Architecture, and Master of Science in Real Estate Development, MS in International Development and Global Health, PhD in Urban Planning, and also offers advanced graduate certificates in Historic Preservation and Affordable Housing.
