The Department of Medical Education at Creighton University School of Medicine invites applications for two tenure-track, full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of anatomy or neuroanatomy. We seek creative, innovative educators to join our collaborative team. Candidates are expected to have earned a Ph.D. in anatomy or a related field, possess a strong record of excellence in teaching, and demonstrate teaching experience that incorporates different methods such as dissection, team-based learning, case-based learning, and problem-based learning. A background in the use of technology in teaching as well as curriculum development is preferred.

 

Successful candidates will support the teaching mission of the Department by providing leadership and primary instruction to medical, graduate, and other health professional students. Teaching responsibilities include various active learning pedagogies, lectures, and cadaveric dissection labs. Consistent with the requirements for career advancement at Creighton University, successful candidates are also expected to actively participate in research within their area of expertise that results in high-quality, peer-reviewed publications and/or presentations at a national level. To achieve our strategic planning goals, applicants with expertise and/or interest in research focused on scholarship of teaching and learning within the health professions are particularly encouraged to apply. The position provides an opportunity to collaborate on curriculum development, develop educational resources, present continuing education programs, and mentor medical, graduate, and undergraduate students.
