Job Description

The Division of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) is seeking a creative digital content manager to tell stories about IDE programs, initiatives and events for students, faculty and staff. The digital content manager will be a key member of the division’s communications team, creating engaging content for various channels, collaborating with others on the division’s social media calendar and engaging with MU’s social community.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, create and curate dynamic content to drive engagement on IDE’s social media channels and website.
  • Develop and maintain a shared social media editorial calendar with partners in IDE offices and centers.
  • Act as community manager for social channels: review, manage and respond to comments.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Communications, develop and share social media analytics illustrating content performance and community engagement.
  • Support training for student employees.
  • Collaborate with other social media managers on campus.
  • Research and/or analyze information and use standard practices to make informed judgments and recommendations.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines in accordance with established priorities, timelines, budget, etc.
Salary

Salary Range: $48,000 –$52,000

Grade: GGS 09E

Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience creating original visual content in a variety of formats
  • Experience with Adobe Suite, basic audio and video editing software, and content management systems.
  • 3-5 years of brand social media management for higher education and/or corporate entity
  • Proficient in social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
  • Previous experience with monitoring social analytics
  • Previous experience with keywords and SEO
