The Admissions Advisor is responsible for providing services to
meet student needs for admission to the college and to support
institutional activities. This person works with other staff in the
unit to plan and implement departmental projects. A general
knowledge of all offerings and programs, purposes and goals of the
institution is the responsibility of the Admissions Advisor.
Specific duties include: admissions interviewing with prospective
students, providing information, and making referrals to other
institutional resources. Additional responsibilities include
supporting the recruitment program, the assessment center, and the
division as a whole. The Admissions Officer must have a working
knowledge of offerings and programs, purposes and goals of the
institution.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Education Preferred:
Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Required:

Experience Required:
- A minimum of two years experience within a higher education environment.
- Experience working with diverse students including first generation college students, students from under-represented populations, and students transitioning from adult high school programs.
