NSOE Director of Research Development & Administration

The Director of Research Development & Administration (Director of RD&A) provides senior-level leadership on all research initiatives within and related to the Nicholas School of the Environment (NSOE) at Duke University.

Reporting to the Dean, this position also works in conjunction with and reports to the Senior Associate Dean of Research and Doctoral Programs to administer and manage the research affairs of the NSOE, providing strategic guidance.

The Director of RD&A develops, plans and implements activities in support of NSOE research projects funded through grants and contracts, providing guidance and shepherding proposals from conception to completion. A member of the Dean's Operations Management Group and NSOE's Research Support Council, the Director of RD&A collaborates closely with school leadership to achieve the school's goals and further its mission.

A Bachelor's Degree is required, and an advanced degree with a demonstrable understanding and familiarity of a broad range of science and technical subject matter within the environmental sciences is desired.
