Qualifications:
General Chemistry II Lab (Chem 011) supports General Chemistry II lecture and has a strong focus on chemical kinetics, equilibrium, and general approaches to problem-solving. The course emphasizes the use of safe and effective laboratory techniques, development of written skills, thorough and organized documentation in lab notebooks, and the development of qualitative and quantitative laboratory skills.

This course is remote on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:30 - 4:30 pm during the 2023 Summer term.

In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular virtual office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant area of chemistry, have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, and familiarity with online/hybrid instruction. This position requires all coursework to be performed in the state of California.

The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
