Ithaca College is seeking an Applications Analyst responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining applications and systems related to alumni and philanthropic giving and engagement. This role will involve working with external vendors, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing reports on user engagement.  
  • Maintain the philanthropy and engagement systems, including trend analysis for technical capacity planning, proactive system assessments for technical performance tuning, and recommendations and implementation of best practices.

  • Provide 3rd-level technical support assistance to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staff to diagnose and resolve application issues.

  • Be an active member of cross-functional project teams to plan and deliver solutions that meet our business needs.

  • Open, manage, and resolve application issues with external application vendors.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for environments, including network diagrams, installation, and configuration procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, and operational procedures.

  • Work with functional analysts to identify and create technical process improvements.

  • Install, configure, and maintain application platforms and systems.

  • Establish and review system, application, and user security controls while enforcing regulatory compliance standards.

  • Familiarity with integrations to 3rd party applications and ability to map and communicate integrations needed and troubleshoot integration issues.

  • Prepare and maintain system documentation.

  • Develop, demonstrate, and promote multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and respectful College community. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience; strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills and attention to detail; excellent customer service skills and ability to learn software quickly; demonstrated understanding of relational databases and SQL (structured query language); ability to collect and analyze data, handle multiple tasks, and process confidential information is required; previous experience working with Raiser’s NXT strongly preferred.

Work Environment 

Most of the incumbent's work is carried out within an accessible, safe, indoor environment. In-person is preferred, and hybrid and work-from-home options are available. The incumbent will be required to operate a personal computer and associated equipment, such as computer printers and other office equipment used in day-to-day operations.
