This position will assist the Director of Graduate Operations by providing higher level administrative management and support. This position will work in coordination with the Undergraduate Program Manager to oversee the placement of instructional support personnel, including, but not limited to, graduate teaching assistants and graders. This position will also oversee admissions and enrollment management processes, including internal reporting around admissions and retention, as well as ensuring all programs are in compliance with Graduate School policies as they admit growing numbers of graduate students in accordance with the strategic initiatives of the college. This position will also be responsible for recruitment efforts for iSchool graduate programs and will recruit and deploy iSchool alumni as program ambassadors across the country, and will supervise four coordinators of graduate programs (PhD, MIM, MLIS, HCIM) and a collection of hourly alumni recruiters.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
4 years of experience in higher education, project management, or other related experience.
2 years of supervisory experience.
Professional experience in admissions and recruitment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness and ability to learn new technical tools quickly and efficiently.
Preferences:
Master’s degree in higher education or related field.
Experience working in UMCP systems such as SIS, uAchieve, TerpEngage.
