Position Title: Visiting Assistant Professor
Location: 11201 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106
Summary of Duties: Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Political Science including at least two subfield introductory undergraduate courses. Teaches distinct, advanced seminars that contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs in Political Science, Environmental Studies, Social Justice, and International Studies. Conducts an active research agenda within the Political Science field. Assumes leadership role in campus climate-related activities and programs. Mentors and supports undergraduate students with environmental interests. Responsible for teaching the following curriculum:
• Introduction to Comparative Politics (POSC 160);
• Introduction to International Relations (POSC 172);
• Modern Political Thought (POSC 351/451);
• Modern Political Ideologies (POSC 355/455);
• Environmental Justice in the Global South and Marginalized Communities in the Global North (POSC 387 and 487); and
• Politics, Policy, and the Global Environment (POSC 388/488).
Qualifications: PhD (Doctorate) in Political Science or closely related field.
