Gannon University's School of Engineering and Computer Science seeks an Assistant Professor in Environmental Science/Engineering. The appointment for this nine-month tenure track position begins in August 2023. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses across the entire breadth of the environmental curriculum; prepare motivated students intellectually and professionally; and advise students. The Department of Environmental Science and Engineering offers B.S. degrees in both environmental science and environmental engineering (ABET accredited) and a thesis-based M.S. degree in Environmental Science and Management.

Requirements include a Ph.D. degree in environmental science, environmental health, environmental engineering, or a closely related field of science/engineering (completed by August 2023). Ideal candidates shall possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills, and the ability to teach a variety of undergraduate/graduate courses and supervise students' research/service-learning projects. The preferred expertise areas include but are not limited to environmental risk assessment, toxicology, and other related areas within environmental science/engineering. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
