Assistant Professor in Finance
Location: 160 Chandler Burns Hall, Clemson, SC
Description
To meet the needs of a growing department, the Department of Finance in the Wilbur O. And Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Finance.
Successful candidates are expected to be active researchers with the potential to publish in high-quality finance journals. Seasoned candidates should have a strong record of publishing in high-quality finance journals. We invite applicants who value collegiality and the desire to contribute to the Clemson community of finance scholars. All areas of research expertise will be considered. The candidate will teach four semester courses per year and participate in service activities. The anticipated start date is August 15, 2023.

Clemson University is a R1 Carnegie designated, land-grant
competitive admissions institution with total enrollment
approaching 25,000 students. The Finance program currently has over
nine hundred finance majors, 13 tenured/tenure-track faculty
members, two clinical faculty members, and four full-time
lecturers. Tenure-track members of the Finance Faculty have
recently published in premier finance journals, including JF, JFE,
JAE, JFQA, and MS. We were recently ranked by US News as #36 in
finance programs.
Clemson is a small college town nestled in the Blue Ridge
Mountains, located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and
Charlotte and is 30 miles outside of Greenville, SC. Greenville is
often listed as being one of the best places to live in the
country.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a PhD in Finance or related field (or expect to complete their PhD by August 1, 2023) from an AACSB accredited university. Successful candidates are expected to be active researchers with the potential to publish in high-quality finance journals. Seasoned candidates should have a strong record of publishing in high-quality finance journals.
