Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance

Description

To meet the needs of a growing department, the Department of Finance in the Wilbur O. And Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for multiple positions in the area of Finance.

Job duties will be teaching at the undergraduate level while maintaining AACSB research credentials. Faculty members are also expected to make service contributions to the department, Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, and Clemson University. The anticipated start date is August 15, 2023.

Clemson University is a R1 Carnegie designated, land-grant competitive admissions institution with total enrollment approaching 25,000 students. The Finance program currently has over nine hundred finance majors, 13 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, two clinical faculty members, and four full-time lecturers. Tenure-track members of the Finance Faculty have recently published in premier finance journals, including JF, JFE, JAE, JFQA, and MS. We were recently ranked by US News as #36 in finance programs.

Clemson is a small college town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte and is 30 miles outside of Greenville, SC. Greenville is often listed as being one of the best places to live in the country.


Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess a PhD (or ABD expected to defend shortly) in Finance or related field from an AACSB accredited institution and can demonstrate excellence in the classroom and the ability to maintain a research pipeline.
