Job Description

This position reports to the Director of Data Science Institute and position will be primary support for Microsoft products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Works with Microsoft staff, university IT department, professors, and students.
• Provides technical support including software, hardware, networking, and training for Microsoft products and platforms such as Office 365, PowerBI, and Azure Cloud.
• Configures, tests, and installs technology for new computers, and other equipment.
• Perform User Administration and support. This includes making changes to user policies, profiles, and equipment to provide the access required with the most secure and efficient manner possible.
• Maintains integrity of systems and platforms that includes pro-actively making sure all systems are working properly and are updated with the latest security software.
• Executes loaning, renting, repairing, and customer assistance for Microsoft products.

Qualification Standards

• An advanced knowledge of computer standards and practices, network controls, security prevention and detection, project management and auditing standards.
• High proficiency with technology systems, network configuration, Office systems, Cloud systems and backup software standards

Education

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, or equivalency
