The Accountancy & Business Law Department at Saint Peter’s University, the Jesuit University of New Jersey, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in Fall 2022. We invite applications from candidates who share our commitment to educating students to excel intellectually, lead ethically, serve compassionately, and promote justice in our ever-changing global environment. Saint Peter’s University is especially interested in recruiting scholars who can contribute to the university community’s desire to increase its diversity.

This full-time, tenure-track appointment in the Department of Accountancy and Business Law requires teaching both introductory and upper-level graduate and undergraduate courses in Accountancy. If the candidate also has a J.D., he or she may teach Business Law as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:
  • the successful candidate will teach a 4/4 load.
  • the teaching of both required and elective courses in the undergraduate major and master’s programs.
  • engage in research activities and produce scholarly output that advances the field of accounting and, if applicable, business law.
  • participating in departmental activities (meetings, student advising, and university/community-related functions and programming).
Qualification Standards

Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience and/or experience in major public accounting firms and/or law firms and active engagement in NJ accounting societies and/or NJ law societies.

Education

Candidates should have a C.P.A. license; a Ph.D. or J.D. is preferred though not required.
