Job Description Summary
The CLINIC MANAGER for Penn Dental Medicine's Department of Prosthodontics will lead a collaborative service-oriented environment in partnership with and in alignment with and School departments and leadership. This position is responsible for oversight of clinic operations and workflows with a focus on providing quality, safe clinic and patient care efficiencies as well as coordination of initiatives related to the department's resident/student programs.

Job Description

  • Administer the overall operational management of the clinic; including, but not limited to: registration/scheduling. In partnership with Patient Financial Services, ensures an accurate, efficient patient lifecycle beginning with initial appointment and collection of data, followed by subsequent appointments and treatment plans, through billing and final payment. Monitors, evaluates and justifies department budget expenditures and revenue regularly in discussions with Director, Division Chief and Administrative Manager of Department.
  • Serve as primary focal point in monitoring and managing repairs, acting as liaison between manufactures, vendors, sales reps and clinic director.
  • Coordinate effective, efficient Prosthodontic resident and student schedules (rotations) in partnership with clinic faculty. Develops, schedules and maintains departments operational calendar for postdoctoral program. Provide curriculum information (grading, evals, etc). Schedule postdoctoral learns, in-services and specialty training for post grad residents.
  • Provide leadership and communication regarding university/school/department/clinical/patient-related information to staff, faculty, residents and predoctoral students. In close collaboration with School and clinic leadership, develop processes /workflows to operations as needed. Oversee compliance with university, school, departmental and clinical policies. Serve as key administrator in the clinic of all infection control and OSHA regulations and issues by working closely with PDM's Office of Clinical Affairs. Ensure that all staff is HIPAA and AACO compliant.
  • Coordinate postdoctoral program applicant. Manage interviews and provide administrative support. Coordinate and organize orientation for incoming fellows and scholars.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director/Division Chief/Administrative Manager

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
