Job Details

The University of Minnesota, Morris (UMN-Morris) will have an opening for one full-time, non-tenure track teaching position in Economics and Management, beginning fall 2023. This appointment will be for 1 year (but renewal may be possible). Minimum requirement: ABD in Economics with successful teaching experience and preparedness to teach the courses listed below. Preferred qualification: Ph.D. in Economics completed by start date.

 

The teaching load is 6 undergraduate 4-credit courses annually or the equivalent. Currently planned courses are one section of (Intermediate) Microeconomic Theory, two sections of Managerial Economics, and three more courses that will likely be electives at the junior level in economics or management, to be arranged in consultation with the person hired.

 

Candidates should be prepared to teach the courses mentioned above and should bring one or two other areas of interest to be used in field courses. Examples include fields that could contribute to the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) interdisciplinary program, such as behavioral and experimental economics, the history of economic thought, or political economy. Interest in and ability to contribute to the Management major in some meaningful way will be an added advantage.

 

Position begins August 14, 2023.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
