Purpose of Position
The CHHS Clinical Placement Coordinator is responsible for student clinical placement support and coordination for academic programs in the College of Health & Human Services with a large focus on the MSN program, which includes the following tracks: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, post graduate certificate programs, Nurse Educator, and Nurse Executive Leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include managing the student clinical placement request process and to ensure the placement of students for each 7-week clinical session.
Other responsibilities include maintaining and executing the communication plan for all student clinical placement communication in consultation with the other teams within CHHS including but not limited to the Preceptor Management Team and Contracts and Compliance Team
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree with a preferred degree in the health care field and two years of relevant work experience is required.
Experience in student advising or student services in an academic setting is preferred.
Proficiency with office software, ability to learn complex software systems ( SAP, Perceptive Content, Medatrax, Castlebranch, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Professional attitude and demeanor; strong interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and collaborative skills
Ability to work with diverse populations and ability to handle difficult situations.
Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
