Job Summary
The admissions communication specialist develops, monitors, and executes comprehensive integrated messaging strategies aimed at achieving the University enrollment/recruitment goals. This role focuses primarily on enrollment communication campaigns; message development for print and digital outreach; content direction for targeted recruitment initiatives; and support for the department’s social media accounts.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Works closely with enrollment leadership team to assess current organic communication campaigns and plan for future campaigns
- Ensures development and timely execution of action-based and process-oriented communication plans
- Develops key messaging/copy for print and electronic enrollment communications
- Produces compelling, succinct copy to reach various target audiences/channels
- Monitors and reports on impact of multi-channel communication plans and analyzes the effectiveness of engagement campaigns
- Maintains strong working knowledge of enrollment Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, specific to comm flows, audience segmentation, and analytic
- Assists with maintaining a strong social media presence on
admissions-hosted channels and other relevant sites
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values – excellence, dedication, integrity, creativity, teamwork
- Manages a variety of projects in collaboration with University Marketing and Communications, and Strategic Enrollment Management
- Collaborates with division leadership to execute comprehensive communication plans with differentiated messaging to multiple populations via email, letters, publications, postcards, text messages, and other strategies
- Coordinates the targeted creation and timely launching of communications from the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
- Works directly with enrollment operations to maintain prospect data and build targeted communication plans
- Works closely with department, as well as third-party contractors, to support asset creation for campaigns/projects
- Collaborates with external partners and coordinates production schedules and mailing details
- Collaborates on enrollment video projects, including writing
scripts and storyboards and identifying, scheduling and prepping
subjects
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience in writing, creating, and executing marketing communication plans preferred
- Prior admissions / recruitment experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Understanding of how to develop and leverage a comprehensive communication plan
- Superior writing, spelling, proofing, and grammar skills
- Ability to write concise and creative communications for varied audiences
- Well versed in current communication trends/technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite products, and CRM system functionality
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively
