The School of Theatre at UNC Greensboro welcomes applications for a Professional-Track Lecturer/Lighting and Sound Shop Supervisor.  We seek a versatile artist/education actively engaged in advancing inclusions, equity, and access and celebrating Cultural diversity while fulfilling a technical production role.  Responsibliities and taks include:  Teach two organized courses each semester including but not limited to Stagecrafts, Lighting and Sound (100-level), Tech Production, Lighting and Sound (200-level), Theatrical Sound Design and Technology (300-level), etc.  Mentor student electricians, sound technicians, and sound designers.   Contribute to mentoring of lighting and media designers alongside lighting/media faculty.  Attend design and production meetings, technical and dress rehearsals.  Maintain the Electrics and Sound Shops and related performance spaces.  Teach and enforce UNCG and School of Theatre safety policies.  Serve as an academic advisor to students.  Demonstrate commitment to advancing inclusion, equity, and access and celebrating cultural diversity.  Oversee the implementation and management of all electrics and sound aspects of productions staged at and/or by the School of Theatre, including load-in, focus, pre-cuing, notes, technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, performances, and strike.  Supervise student crews through load-in, tech, performance, and strike for School of Theatre productions.  Responsible for teaching and enforcing proper safety protocols within the electrics and sound shops.  Track and report budget status to the Production Manager.  Coordinate with School of Theatre faculty and staff on productions.  As necessary, serve as the Sound Designer for School of Theatre productions.  Additional responsibility details in job posting.
