Primary Purpose of the Position
The Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at Winston-Salem State University is seeking Adjunct Faculty to provide part-time instruction in undergraduate-level courses in Accounting, Business Law, Business Communications, Economics, and Finance or Financial Planning.

- A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting, Business Communications, Economics, or Finance.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and diverse populations.
- Ability to teach weekdays and/or evenings.
- Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting, Business Communications, Economics, or Finance.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and diverse populations.

- Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons.
- Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, timelines and approved syllabus.
- Provide engaging and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes.
- Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
- Complete grade books, mid-term and final grade submission, learning assessments and final exam assessments on a timely basis.
- Respond to student questions on a timely basis.
- Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
