The University of South Carolina Lancaster, a Palmetto College campus of the University of South Carolina located approximately thirty-five (35) miles south of Charlotte, NC seeks candidates for a non-tenure track 9-month appointment at the rank of Instructor of Business beginning August 16, 2023 or January 1, 2024.

An instructor will normally teach twelve credit hours per semester or its equivalent, including evening and distributed learning courses as needed, as well as have a commitment to university/community service. One course release a year is given for accreditation work. The basic requirement is the ability to teach management and marketing courses.  Advising and university/community service are expected.

Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This position will also assume basic accreditation duties for the Associate Degree program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. These duties are ongoing on a yearly basis with larger reports due to ACBSP every other year and a major accreditation report/visit every ten years.

Applicants who hold a master’s degree in business administration or other appropriate degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in management or marketing, including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory courses in Business will be considered.
