The duties will require some publication experience, the exercise of independent discretion and judgment in carrying out research activities, the development of methods of research, and mentoring of students.
This is a Grant Funded position.

- Assist with the development of novel computational models of cellular response to radiation exposure.
- Contribute to the work of experimentalists and other computational researchers in the group.
- Contribute to the mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Biostatistical analysis supporting biophysics research.
- Machine learning and data science techniques is a plus, but not required.
- Technical and functional principles and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience with the MATLAB software package.
Skill in:
- Detail oriented.
- Problem-solving and decision-making.
- Multitasking and time management.
- Writing documents.
- Both verbal and written communication.
Ability to:
- Program in C, C++, Python, MATLAB and Mathematica.
- Expertise in Theoretical Biophysics preferred.
- Prior experience with computational modeling of biological processes preferred.
- Experience with biological laboratory instrumentation and data processing is a plus.
- Work is performed within routine office environment with no exposure to hazardous or unpleasant conditions.
- Limited to sitting and/or standing.
- Stoop, bend or lift.
- Handling of light weight objects.
