Position Summary
Be part of a modern team assisting in full-stack development in the Information Systems and Security, concentrating in Programming and Integrations. We develop, administer, and implement innovative solutions for our campus community in a relaxed environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Architect, implement and install cloud-based and on premise software solutions. Create and support integrations utilizing a variety of developmental methodologies.
- Utilize end-to-end understanding of application design principles to inform all aspects of architecture and implementation of solutions. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating, analyzing, identifying and defining problems and requirements, developing and proposing solutions.
- Follow the software development lifecycle.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clean code.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures, security, and emerging technologies. Study information needs, confer with users and study systems flow, data usage and work processes as it relates to SUNY Cortland and industry best practice, standards, and security.
- Protect operations by keeping information confidential.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years of experience working in a software development environment.
- Experience working with Powershell, .Net, C#, MVC, SQL
- Experience with Agile project management
- Familiarity with source control.
- Experience developing web-based applications and APIs
- Experience working in a higher education or similarly complex organization.
- Experience working with web-based Single Sign-On environments utilizing SAML, CAS and OAUTH .
