Schedule Information: This position is part-time, 20 hours per week, requiring in-person and remote work. The work hours will be flexible Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 4:30 pm, with occasional evenings and Saturdays.

The work hours will be flexible Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 4:30 pm, with occasional evenings and Saturdays. This is a grant-funded position that will end by December 31, 2023.
Duties of Position: Assists the Workforce/Career Coordinator at the Learning and Career Center, located in Prospect Heights, with recruiting, onboarding, registering, providing resource referrals, keeping records, and following up with prospective and enrolled students of the Paths to College and Career Program. This program is funded by the Illinois Community College Board's Innovative Bridge and Transitions (IBT) Grant and will end by 12/31/2023.
Provides program information to students in a timely manner. Inquiries and referrals may be received by phone, email, and person. Meetings with students will be done as needed in person, virtually using Webex or MS Teams, or via telephone.
Occasionally travels to the main campus in Palatine and the Education and Work Center in Hanover Park to meet students and provide program support. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Responsible for remaining current on all training programs offered through the Paths to College and Career Program, including Adult Education, Community Education (CE), Continuing Professional Education (CPE), and credit courses that lead to certificates or degrees.
Responsible for learning about other student financial assistance programs to help Paths to College and Career Program participants transition into mainstream college certificate and degree programs. Financial aid programs include federal and state grants, institutional and private scholarships, and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Creates, compiles, and maintains reports for internal and external constituents.
Ensures course listings are accurate and current.
Updates computer-related marketing materials, including written materials such as course catalogs, brochures, fact sheets, and web pages.
Assist with events such as online and in-person information sessions.
Follows privacy and confidentiality guidelines with student information.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements: Associate's degree required.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of two years of experience providing office support.
Experience in adult or continuing education preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
