Job Summary
The Transfer Credit Processing Specialist supports the flow of transfer credit documents through the review, entry, and audit of transfer credits, while maintaining data integrity and process efficiency. Using existing software and document managing systems, this person reviews transfer credit materials prior to their evaluation and entry and provides quality assurance by auditing entered transfer credit coursework. This individual will also enter and maintain transfer equivalency rules within the student information system and ancillary software systems. A strong working knowledge of database systems and workflow processes is needed. Careful attention to detail in reviewing transcripts and other documents is required, as is the ability to perform accurate work within expected processing times while exhibiting excellent customer service to students and campus constituents.

This position is eligible for fully remote or partial remote/hybrid work.



Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate combination of training and experience as a professional in a business setting
  • Demonstrated ability to engage positively and in collaboration with others in a productive, forward-thinking manner, and to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully
  • Skill in the use of computers and common software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc)


Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior customer service-related experience, or demonstrated ability to provide customer service
  • Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft or another similar integrated data management system
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and research issues related to student records
  • Prior work experience at a university or other higher-educational setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
