West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a part-time Neonatologist to join our established group in our level IV NICU practice qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice at our new Children’s Hospital in Morgantown, WV. In addition to providing excellent patient care, they will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows .

Qualifications: Candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited pediatrics residency program and be fellowship trained and board certified/eligible in neonatology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Our new 150 bed Children’s Hospital includes a level IV NICU with 52 patient beds. The successful candidate will respond to deliveries in our 30-bed Birthing Center and perform consultations as needed for high-risk pregnancies in conjunction with our maternal-fetal medicine service. The hospital includes a full staff of pediatric subspecialists and pediatric surgical subspecialists, along with a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. There are 34 pediatric beds, 26 PICU beds, Heart Center, and a dedicated Cancer Center. J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in West Virginia with a pediatric cardiac surgery program, the only epilepsy monitoring unit in the state equipped to serve children, and the only hospital in the state to receive Magnet status for nursing excellence.
