The Department of Management in the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for a full-time (nine months), non-tenure track position beginning August 15, 2023 The preferred candidate is expected to be hired as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Management. The compensation package is competitive, includes benefits, and is commensurate with experience.

Job duties will include teaching four (4) classes each semester in fall and spring (primarily in-person) at the undergraduate or graduate level for courses such as Principles of Management, Statistics, and Excel for Decision-Making and/or other management-related classes based on areas of expertise and/or department need.

Successful candidates will maintain qualifications commensurate with AACSB accreditation standards for clinical faculty. Faculty members are also expected to make service contributions to the Department, the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, and Clemson University.

Clemson University is a premier land-grant, competitive admissions institution with approximately 21,500 undergraduate students. The Wilbur O and Ann Powers College of Business has about 6,000 enrolled students and a state-of-the-art new building completed in 2020. The Department of Management currently has approximately 950 students, 28 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, two clinical faculty members, ten full-time lecturers/professors of practice, and multiple part-time lecturers/professors of practice.

Clemson University is currently ranked 29th among national public universities (U.S. News & World Report) and is designated as a Carnegie R1 Research University. Clemson is a small college town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, located on the I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte, and is 30 miles outside of Greenville, SC. Greenville has recently been named as a "Top-10 Fastest-Growing U.S. City [#4]" (CNN), "Most Fun, Affordable Cities [#5]" (Bloomberg BusinessWeek), and "Best City for Young Adults [#13]" (Forbes).


Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess a Ph.D., D.B.A., DM or other doctoral degree (or be ABD with defense by the time of appointment) in Management or a related field by an accredited institution and demonstrated excellence in the classroom.
