Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Business and Management Program at Wheaton College (MA) invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Professor of Practice with the ability to teach a diverse range of finance courses, including Corporate Finance, Investments, Financial Markets and Institutions, and special topic finance courses. The Professor of Practice position integrates practical experience with academic scholarship and provides a unique perspective on the practical applications of theory in the profession. The position will begin Fall 2023 for a one year appointment with renewal based on successful annual evaluation. The Business and Management Program ( Business & Mgmt Program ) consists of eight full-time faculty in a diverse range of specialty areas including Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and Social Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will share our commitment to integrating the Business and Management Major within a broad, interdisciplinary liberal arts education and contribute in the continuing development of a vibrant, growing business program with an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative culture. The teaching load is six classes per year (a 3-3 load).

Minimum Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who has professional experience with a record of achievement as a practitioner within the finance profession. An MBA or a masters degree in a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ability to teach Introductory Accounting is a plus.
