Description

Husson University, a NCAA Division III institution located in Bangor, Maine, is accepting applications for a Part-Time Head Golf Coach to work in the Athletic Department with the responsibility of overseeing the areas of coaching, film, scouting, recruiting, academic monitoring, and strength and conditioning.

Examples of Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• This position will serve as the primary coach and administrator for the Golf program. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: program budget management, recruiting qualified collegiate athletes, demonstrating competent golf instruction, motivation and ability to conduct daily practice sessions, and the willingness to work with the golf program on annual planning, promotions, and recruiting efforts.
• This position will also implement the basic principles and policies of the athletic governing bodies (NCAA / NAC / ECAC) and Husson University.

Typical Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

B.A. or B.S. degree or status as a PGA professional, three years successful teaching, coaching, or collegiate playing experience, head coaching experience preferred, and the ability to work successfully in a highly competitive Division III environment.

Working knowledge of coaching golf.

The ability to work with Front Rush recruiting software, and the ability to prepare and create individual and team instruction sessions.
