Lecturer of Marketing
The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in marketing, beginning Fall 2023.
The individual hired for this position will be responsible for teaching and service. Teaching responsibilities will include social media marketing (at both the undergraduate and graduate level) and digital marketing, in addition to one of the following: marketing principles, international marketing, international business, or sales. The teaching load for a Lecturer is typically five courses per semester and may include face-to-face, hybrid and/or online deliveries. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the position will also involve service engagement within the department, college, and/or university, including advising undergraduate students and contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have at least a master’s degree from an AACSB accredited or regionally accredited institution in marketing or a related discipline. Candidates should have significant professional experience and expertise qualifying them to teach social media marketing and digital marketing, in addition to one of the following: marketing principles, international marketing, international business, or sales. Relevant professional experience, significant in duration and level of responsibility, must be current at the time of hire, and maintenance of professional qualification is required.
Evidence of collegiate teaching experience is preferred. Exemplary teachers who have experience using innovative and active learning approaches are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, the department, college, campus, community, and professional organizations.

The marketing program is one of Coastal Carolina University’s largest, and currently serves more than 550 majors and 150 minors. Our faculty offer courses in Principles of Marketing, Advertising, Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Personal Selling and Sales Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Sustainability, Retailing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Business Analytics, Marketing Strategy, and International Marketing/Business. Required Qualifications

Must have completed 18 graduate hours in the relevant discipline, hold a master’s degree or meet the established alternative qualifications, and exhibit strong potential for excellence in teaching. Maintain currency in academic discipline.
