Project Manager
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Dean, the Project Manager is a key member of the College of Engineering Operations team. The Project Manager will advise, consult, and guide the project management process for medium and large-scale projects initiated by the dean. This will include oversight of the College's long range planning process and close supervision of deliverables. They will work closely with members of the college's leadership team and key stakeholders to define project charters, schedules, budgets, and lead the entire project lifecycle to deliver comprehensive solutions. The Project Manager works closely with senior stakeholders to identify project priorities and leads project teams to create documentation, workflows, and processes. The Project Manager adapts quickly to rapidly changing conditions and priorities, identifying risks, solutions, and opportunities to ensure goals are met.
In addition to the project management responsibilities, the Project Manager will act as the primary data analyst for the Dean's Office and will report project status, outcomes, and all data necessary to meet college goals. This will include utilizing data reporting and workflow systems such as Tableau, Snowflake, Excel and Smartsheet to ensure all stakeholders are provided with the reporting needed to make informed decisions in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Proven work experience and results in leading complex projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience supporting senior leadership
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail including being able to handle several projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction
- Ability to deliver high quality, organized and repeatable results
- Strong system skills including Microsoft suite, Smartsheet and Cognos
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau and Snowflake preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
