The Bonderman Assistant Professor of the Practice positions are two year, non-renewable visiting professorships with full benefits. Candidates should preferably have an MFA or equivalent, a strong publication record in poetry, and demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching poetry at the undergraduate level. We also seek candidates with additional expertise in areas such as hybrid genre, nonfiction, international literature, translation, literary theory, film/video, and/or digital arts. Duties of the position include teaching two undergraduate courses per semester in the literary arts as well as directing undergraduate theses and contributing to the creative and intellectual life of the department through individual and collaborative initiatives. Please submit via Interfolio a letter of application (detailing your work as a writer, teaching experience, and your approach to teaching in a diverse and inclusive environment), a current CV, a statement of teaching philosophy, a writing sample (including a substantial portion of a creative text), and a list of at least three references.
