The Opportunity
The Director of Finance and Administration is the financial lead for the Human Resources Division providing strategic development and implementation of finance and facilities operations for a broad and highly complex variety of funding sources and staff. In addition to advising the VPCHRO and division leadership, the position partners with the University Division of Financial Affairs (DFA), Central Information Technology (CIT), Facilities and Campus Services (FCS) and Real Estate to best steward the division’s resources, to develop operating and/or administrative strategies and initiatives to create efficiencies and to maximize outputs.

Master’s Degree and min of 5 years to 7 years of relevant finance planning and management experience.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Excellent analytical and data driven problem-solving skills. Must have experience working effectively in a team environment.

Proficiency in database and spreadsheet applications.

Proven experience in budget planning and forecasting, strategic planning, and meeting organizational objectives through negotiating and community building.

Ability to represent department/division professionally and ethically.
