Primary responsibility is teaching a variety of physical activity
classes to undergraduate physical education teacher candidates.
Expertise in teaching a wide variety of activity areas such as
aquatics, games/sports, aquatics, dance, fitness, and
individual-performance activities, and outdoor pursuits. Applicants
should be familiar with assessing as well as analyzing sport skill
and/or fitness competence and be flexible in adapting to
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Reports to Physical Education Department chair.
Works closely with the faculty and staff within the
Establishes and maintains additional working relationships with
other academic and administrative departments and offices.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or teaching certification in
- Master’s degree in physical education or related area.
- Public school and/or college teaching experience
- Expertise in teaching and modeling best practices in public
- Experience working with diverse populations

activities, fitness education, aquatics, lifetime activities,
