Position Summary and Qualifications:
Eastern University's College of Arts and Humanities invites applications for Adjunct
Instructors of Theatre. The Department of Theatre will accept applications throughout the
year. When a teaching vacancy arises, we will consider the submitted applications in an effort
to staff the course. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester.
In addition to teaching foundational acting, The Department of Theatre would be interested
in expertise to teach in other areas, including Musical Theatre, Directing, Playwriting,
Cultural Diversity, Movement, Voice, or other specializations.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Theatre/Performance or
related field and experience teaching at the college/university level.

with children" must complete the background check process prior to employment. Results must
be submitted within ten days of receipt.
