Met Media Digital Advertising Sales Specialist

Position Summary

The Digital Advertising Sales Specialist will be responsible for growing advertising revenues through the sale of digital media advertisements. Additionally, this individual will facilitate and maximize efficiencies and improve processes for quality content delivery. The individual in this role will provide a seamless experience for those seeking services and ensures digital content objectives align with Met Media’s strategic digital goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

90% of Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be the lead point of contact on Met Media advertising
  • Promote business growth through digital media
  • Identify market trends, audiences, and digital strategies
  • Confirms TV and digital orders are input correctly and aligned with insertion order
  • Coordinates internal efforts involved in ad fulfillment
  • Ability to self-generate leads
10% of Minor Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Experience managing web/digital content applications in a business, non-profit or higher education setting.
  • Experience with project management, prioritization, timelines, and ensuring on-time deliverables
  • Experience working in a web content management system
  • Digital, Radio, Cable, Print, or Media advertising sales experience a plus
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, technical communications, computer information systems or a related field
  • At least two years of professional experience in marketing/communications or similar organization.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and/or other PDF creation, and image editing tools.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Entrepreneurial minded with the ability to work confidently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Superior verbal, writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills
  • A talent for critical thinking, creative problem solving, and multitasking
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exceptional independent writing skills and experience developing clear, concise, and key message-focused communications.
  • Excellent knowledge in editing and grammar, including AP style
  • Highly organized and dependable; able to multitask, work quickly, and effectively manage numerous deadlines.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills
  • Dedicated to producing excellent work and excellent customer service
